A Much-Loved NSW Destination

Bowral was once a rural summer retreat for the gentry of Sydney, leaving a legacy of lavish estates and manor houses scattered throughout the area. Today, visitors still enjoy taking in the delights of Bowral - its vibrant dining scene of cozy cafes, gourmet restaurants and fabulous nearby wineries.

Bowral holidays also invite nature lovers to cycle or hike through nearby Mount Gibraltar Reserve, rewarded with stunning panoramic views over the Highlands. Quaint antique shops offer wares from bygone eras while the weekend markets beckon visitors to sample fresh local produce and take home lovely, handcrafted goods.

Corbett Gardens, one of the region’s oldest parks is magnificent any time of the year but particularly popular during the award-winning Spring Garden Festival when more than 75,000 tulip bulbs open into an extravaganza of colour. For a birds-eye view of the town and gardens, visit the lookout at Mount Gibraltar in nearby Mittagong.
