Melbourne’s Amazing Eureka Tower

Eureka Tower rises almost 300 metres above Melbourne city, making it one of the world's tallest residential buildings. It’s currently the third tallest building in Australia, behind the Q1 in Queensland and Australia 108, situated close to Eureka Tower in Melbourne’s Southbank.

Construction began in 2002 and was completed in 2006. The building design is themed around the Eureka Stockade, a rebellion that took place during the Victorian gold rush era in 1854. The Eureka design is featured in the building's gold crown characterising the gold rush and a red stripe representing the blood spilt during the revolt.

This impressive tower contains 556 apartments serviced by thirteen lifts. On the 88th floor is the amazing Melbourne Skydeck, the southern hemisphere’s highest observation deck and on level 89 a bar and restaurant. Every November, Australia’s biggest stair race is held at Eureka Tower where competitors race the 1642 stairs to the 88th floor.
