Falls Creek was established in 1940 as a base for State Electricity Commission workers who were building the Kiewa Hydro Electric Scheme. In 1947, six workers secretly built a ski hut. It didn’t take long however for the word to get out and the first ski lift was built in 1951, and Falls Creek soon gained a reputation as an excellent ski destination.

Take a ‘refreshing’ dip under a waterfall or a relaxing kayak or stand up paddleboard on Rocky Valley Lake. Try your hand at ‘Disc Golf’ - a cross between golf and frisbee while you walk in nature.
