Arrive in Townsville mid-afternoon flying Carbon Neutral, to be greeted by the Fun Over 50 Holidays crew. Today we head to Charters Towers to view the magnificent herd of Texas Longhorns. Get up close (and sometimes personal)to the spectacular herd of genuine full-blood Texas Longhorns. There are also Asian Water Buffalo, American Bison, Mexican Sardo Negro, Indian Gyr, African Ankole Watusi and Scottish Highland cattle...a bovine experience like no other! Traditional Aussie bush smoko is included as well as a barbecue lunch with great entertainment.
In the heart of Australia’s breathtaking landscapes lies a true gem – Magnetic Island. Winddown to island time and explore the wonders and history Magnetic Island (or Yunbenun as it is known by the local Wulgurukaba people) has to offer. Enjoy a comfortable 20-minute fast-cat cruise across the waters of Cleveland Bay to Magnetic Island. See the highlights of the island on a guided tour, with photo stops along the way. Unwind over morning tea in Picnic Bay as you take advantage of some free time at Horseshoe Bay prior to heading back to the mainland.

We depart Townsville, breaking for a cuppa and photo opportunity at the iconic Big Mango. Next, we dive straight into Airlie Beach with lunch at the Whitsunday Sailing Club. Dining at 20 Degrees South, we enjoy unbridled views of Pioneer Bay and the Whitsunday Islands, the perfect introduction to the region. Before checking in at our hotel, there’s time to browse the shops and soak up the laid-back atmosphere of this popular coastal town.
Today takes you on a scenic cruise through the beautiful Whitsunday Islands stopping off at the famous Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet. This one-of-a-kind tour to Whitehaven Beach takes you to places that no other Whitsunday Islands tour does. Cruise in air-conditioned comfort on a catamaran complete with modern facilities including a rooftop deck and capped numbers to ensure maximum guest comfort to roam around the boat enjoying the stunning views so you have a brilliant experience. Departing from Shute Harbour, cruise through the Molle group of islands, crossing the Whitsunday passage into Cid harbour and through Hook Passage before anchoring at Tongue Point to visit Hill Inlet. Leaving Tongue Point, you will cruise across Whitehaven Bay to visit the famous Whitehaven Beach.
Prepare for an extraordinary adventure as you begin your day with on the Whitsunday Crocodile Safari. Local experienced guides provide expert commentary throughout the tour while cruising the calm waters of the Proserpine River as you observe estuarine crocodiles in natural habitat. Explore Goorganga Plains on a tractor drawn wagon train and discover the vegetation and wildlife in a freshwater wetland. Feast on a fresh Aussie barbecue before leaving Airlie Beach on a short road trip to Mackay.
Early to rise this morning to make our way to Cape Hillsborough National Park, arriving in time to see the kangaroos and wallabies on the beach at sunrise - an experience like no other. Join a local guide and get up close and personal with these iconic Australian marsupials, waking up early is worth it! Enjoy breakfast before we head into Eungella National Park for a tour to Finch Hatton Gorge. We join a local nature guide for a walk into the gorge to absorb the wonderful landscape of waterfalls, lush flora and volcanic boulder formations. From here we make our way for lunch at One Hungry Mumma, to dine with Michelle Camilleri, who makes beautiful homemade lemonades, gourmet relishes and chutneys using produce from the region. This afternoon we return to Mackay.
This morning, we embark on a guided tour of Sarina Sugar Shed immersing ourselves in the fascinating journey of how sugarcane is grown, harvested, crushed, processed, and transformed into a variety of delicious boutique products at this charming miniature sugar mill. Along the way, we will have the opportunity to explore sugarcane fields, witness the intricate sugar production process inside the sugar shed, and indulge our taste buds with sugar samples in various forms, all while being enlightened by our informative and engaging guide. We then return to Mackay for afternoon Carbon Neutral flights home.

Our coach tours have a baggage restriction of 17kg per person (regardless of flight and rail allowances) due to our Occupational Health & Safety standards. You can also bring one small, soft carry-on bag not exceeding 30cm wide, 30cm high, and 15cm thick that may be stowed in the overhead compartment.

Our Gold Class coaches have a seat capacity of between 44 and 46, but we cap Gold Class tours at 40 guests per tour. Our Diamond Class tours have a capacity of just 26 guests.
