We depart from the Brisbane Coach Terminal on our luxurious ‘Gold Class’ coach, ensuring responsible travel with 100% offset coach emissions, and journey to Tropical Fruit World where we enjoy Devonshire morning tea. We continue south, arriving at Yamba in time for lunch. Afterward, we travel onward, passing through Coffs Harbour, before reaching the serene and picturesque Lookout Mountain Retreat. Breathe in the fresh air and take in the magnificent views of the mountains and valley – this is the ideal place for our Christmas getaway.
This morning, we journey to South West Rocks to explore the historic ruins of Trial Bay Gaol on a guided tour. This fascinating site blends eerie stories with breathtaking coastal scenery. Afterward, we savour a leisurely riverside lunch before heading to Kempsey to visit the Slim Dusty Centre, a tribute to Australia’s beloved country music legend. Here, we delve into Slim Dusty’s life and legacy, exploring exhibits filled with memorabilia, personal artefacts, and insights into his influential career. In the afternoon, we take the scenic route back to our mountain retreat, soaking in the picturesque landscapes along the way.
Merry Christmas! This morning, following breakfast and a special Christmas message, we set off to explore the stunning natural beauty of Waterfall Way at Dorrigo. Our adventure begins at Griffiths Lookout, where we take in sweeping panoramic views, before heading to the Skywalk at Dorrigo National Park for a thrilling perspective above the treetops.We return to Lookout Mountain Retreat just in time to change into our Christmas attire for a festive long lunch. Indulge in a delicious feast featuring fresh seafood and traditional Christmas favourites, all while celebrating in great company.This afternoon, take time to unwind and soak in the breathtaking mountain, valley, and ocean views, or join the crew for some fun and friendly games on the lawn.
Today, we journey to Coffs Harbour, where our first stop is the Clog Barn, a charming Dutch-themed attraction. Here, we indulge in traditional Poffertjes (Dutch pancakes) for morning tea, watch a fascinating clog-making demonstration, and explore the Dutch Village and gift shop. Next, we visit the Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary, a renowned marine park and rescue centre dedicated to marine conservation. We enjoy a private behind-the-scenes tour, gaining insight into their vital work in wildlife rehabilitation and conservation efforts. A highlight of our visit is the Dreamtime Dolphin Show, where we marvel at the intelligence of dolphins and seals, laughing at their playful antics. Before departing, enjoy some free time to explore the park’s other marine exhibits at your own pace. We then reboard the coach and continue to The Honey Place, where we sample the golden nectar, learn about the art of beekeeping, and browse the delightful gift shop for unique honey-based treats.
Lunch is at your own expense today at the sanctuary.
We share one final breakfast before beginning our journey home. Bidding farewell to Dorrigo, we travel along the scenic Waterfall Way, pausing at Ebor Falls. We take a 360m loop walk to an impressive, cantilevered lookout, and from here enjoy picturesque views of the majestic Ebor Falls, plunging over the waterfall’s edge. Continuing on, we break for a cuppa at the Glen Innes Standing Stones then on to the Granite Belt region, where we stop at a local winery to enjoy lunch and sample the regional wines. We arrive back to the Brisbane Coach Terminal late afternoon, marking the end of our festive holiday.

Our coach tours have a baggage restriction of 17kg per person (regardless of flight and rail allowances) due to our Occupational Health & Safety standards. You can also bring one small, soft carry-on bag not exceeding 30cm wide, 30cm high, and 15cm thick that may be stowed in the overhead compartment.

Our Gold Class coaches have a seat capacity of between 44 and 46, but we cap Gold Class tours at 40 guests per tour. Our Diamond Class tours have a capacity of just 26 guests.
