Travel Carbon Neutral on our 100% offset luxury ‘Gold Class’
Board our luxury ‘Gold Class’ coach and travel responsibly knowing all coach emissions are 100% offset. We depart the Brisbane Coach Terminal and travel south through the picturesque Tweed Valley. After morning tea at Kingscliff, we continue down the coast to Maclean for lunch. We then continue on to make our way past Coffs Harbour and arrive at the beautiful and tranquil Lookout Mountain Retreat. The retreat has magnificent views of the mountains and valley and is the ideal place for our Christmas getaway.
Today we make our way to Coffs Harbour, starting with a photo opportunity at the breathtaking Forest Sky Pier, a striking architectural landmark extending 21 metres above the scenic Sealy Lookout offering panoramic views of the surrounding forests, coastline and Pacific Ocean. Next, a visit to Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary, a renowned marine park and rescue centre that offers the opportunity to engage with dolphins, seals and other marine life while learning about their conservation and rehabilitation efforts. We enjoy lunch here, before departing for a visit to the nearby Clog Barn. This quirky and charming attraction features a Dutch-themed village with iconic clog making demonstrations, displays and a miniature model village.
Merry Christmas! This morning after breakfast together, we discover the breathtaking natural scenery along the Waterfall Way at Dorrigo. Our first stop is Griffiths Lookout, then we brave the ‘Skywalk’ in the Dorrigo National Park, before returning to the Lookout Mountain Retreat in time to don your best Christmas attire for our special 5-course long lunch that has been carefully paired with a selection of wines. This afternoon take time to relax and enjoy the picturesque mountain, valley and ocean views or join your crew to enjoy some games on the lawn.
Our travels today take us to the historic Mary Boulton Pioneer Cottage & Museum to discover antiques and memorabilia from the turn of the century. Next, we take in South West Rocks and the ruins of the Trial Bay Gaol. This piece of Australian history combines haunting tales with visually stunning scenery. Next, we travel the Nambucca Valley to Taylors Arm and the well-known ‘Pub With No Beer’. Enjoy good old-fashioned hospitality in this quirky venue, named after the story of the time it was cut off by a flooding Kempsey River and no beer could get through. Our afternoon takes us on the scenic route back to our accommodation.
We enjoy one last breakfast before we start our journey home today. We leave Dorrigo behind before arriving in Maclean for a cuppa and leg stretch. Next we make our way to Tropical Fruit World, a vibrant paradise where an exotic array of tropical fruits thrive. Learn about their farming practices on a guided tractor tour through the expansive orchards followed by lunch and some free time. This afternoon, we return to the Brisbane Coach Terminal, arriving late afternoon.
