Our Carbon Neutral flights arrive into Cairns where we board a local tour operator, ensuring responsible travel with 100% offset flight and coach emissions, and are transferred to our hotel, ideally located on the picturesque Cairns Marina.
Departing Cairns, we journey into the lush Atherton Tablelands, a region known for its stunning landscapes. Our first stop is the serene Lake Barrine, a volcanic crater lake surrounded by ancient rainforest. Enjoy Devonshire morning tea before boarding a relaxing cruise across the tranquil waters, where we may spot native birdlife and turtles. We continue our scenic drive to Millaa Millaa Falls, one of Queensland’s most picturesque waterfalls. Next, we head to the enchanting Paronella Park, a heritage-listed site steeped in romance and history. Upon arrival, we enjoy lunch before taking a guided storytelling tour, where we learn about the park’s fascinating past and the visionary José Paronella, who built this Spanish-style castle in the 1930s. Stroll through lush gardens, explore the charming ruins, and take in the beauty of the surrounding waterfalls.
Experience the Kuranda Scenic Railway, where you’ll learn about the region’s history as the train winds through Barron Gorge National Park, offering breathtaking views as it curves around the mountains. Your Gold Class rail journey includes comfortable lounge style individual seating, beverage and a light meal. Upon arriving in Kuranda village, embark on a 45-minute rainforest river cruise with the Kuranda Riverboat, gliding through the wet tropics and spotting local flora and fauna along the Barron River. Take some time to explore the village markets before returning to Cairns on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, which provides a stunning aerial perspective of the rainforest as you soar above the treetops.
This morning, begin your adventure at Mossman Gorge, where you’ll meet your private guide for an experience in Indigenous culture. We take a guided nature walk through the lush rainforest, listening to Dreamtime stories, learn about local tribal customs, and take part in a traditional Smoking Ceremony before savouring bush tea and damper. Next, cross the Daintree River by ferry and journey to Cape Tribulation. Enjoy a scenic stop at Alexandra Lookout, taking in breathtaking views before continuing to Cape Tribulation Beach for a leisurely stroll. Our afternoon takes us on a relaxing Daintree River cruise, where you may spot saltwater crocodiles, reptiles, exotic birds, and butterflies amid the mangrove wetlands.
Explore Australia’s Great Barrier Reef on a half-day tour to Green Island. Cruise from Cairns aboard a luxury catamaran with Big Cat Green Island Reef Cruises. Enjoy free time to explore, spot tropical fish, giant clams, and coral gardens on a glass-bottom boat, and look for sea turtles near the shore. The island also boasts rich plant life and vibrant birds. After your adventure, return to Cairns for a leisurely afternoon.

This morning we make our way to the township of Dimbulah for morning tea, before making our way to visit the remains of the Chillagoe copper smelters. Afterwards, we head to Chillagoe-Mungana Caves National Park, where we join a ranger guided tour and explore the Chillagoe Caves, exploring the passages and 11 chambers in one of the largest cave systems in the area. Unexpected shafts of daylight, fig trees, glimpses of darting bats, naturally sculptured limestone formations and ancient marine fossils are highlights of this tour. Breaking for lunch in Chillagoe, we make a quick stop at Balancing Rock before our return to Cairns.
Please note: There are many steep ramps and stairs located at the caves.
Enjoy one last Far North Queensland breakfast, maybe take some time to walk through the esplanade markets before we transfer to the airport for our respective flights home.

Our coach tours have a baggage restriction of 17kg per person (regardless of flight and rail allowances) due to our Occupational Health & Safety standards. You can also bring one small, soft carry-on bag not exceeding 30cm wide, 30cm high, and 15cm thick that may be stowed in the overhead compartment.

Our Gold Class coaches have a seat capacity of between 44 and 46, but we cap Gold Class tours at 40 guests per tour. Our Diamond Class tours have a capacity of just 26 guests.
